Tenant Handbook

Balcony Furniture

Furniture specifications for tenants with balconies are as follows: We recommend cast aluminum furniture that has weight and an open design, i.e. it has an open weave appearance, is perforated, etc. to allow air to pass through and that will not rust.  Teak furniture is also acceptable due to its inherent weight.  We prohibit planters from either fill with rain water and stain the tile or drain through the planter and stain the tile.  Plastic/resin furniture, rolled aluminum tubing and plastic lawn chairs, umbrellas, etc. will not work due to wind considerations.  Finally, just a reminder, smoking is prohibited on the balconies and thus there should be no need for any smoking receptacles.
